Summer 2016 Photo Contest at Bayside

Carl M. Freeman Companies announced that Babs McGrory’s photo, “The Point at Sunrise,” is the winner of their Bayside summer photo contest. The contest was open to residents and guests of the Bayside community during the dates of July 1 to Sept. 5. To qualify as an entry, each photo must have tagged Bayside on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

“We were overwhelmed with the response we received from the community, as so many people wanted to showcase why they love Bayside,” said Chris Garland, senior vice president of development for the Carl M. Freeman Companies. “It was fun to view all of the photos through the eyes of members and guests in the community, each enjoying a different part of what Bayside has to offer. Whether it be a serene outlook at the Point, or an action shot at the splash pad, each photo captured the true essence of living here,” he said.

The staff voted on their top four favorite photos Sept. 6. The winners received $50 gift cards to Harris Teeter, and then all four photos were posted up on the Bayside Facebook page for one week. The photo with the most likes won a $250 Harris Teeter gift card. Babs McGory is a full-time resident of Bayside. She said, “I love taking photos of all the beauty of Bayside.”

Situated in Fenwick Island, just four miles from the beach, Bayside comprises nearly 1,000 acres overlooking the Assawoman Bay and features an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. Opportunities abound for family fun and resort living, with community pools, tennis courts and programs, kayaking and paddle boarding, stocked ponds for fishing, walking and fitness trails, delicious dining and special activities for kids of all ages. Currently under construction is the year-round indoor pool and state-of-the-art fitness center, which will offer another opportunity for Bayside’s family and friends to gather together.
