Kellie Pitts Named General Manager at Bear Trap Dunes

Ocean View, DE – – Bear Trap Dunes, a Troon managed and Carl M. Freeman Companies owned golf club in Ocean View, Delaware, recently welcomed Kellie Pitts as its new General Manager.

Pitts will oversee all aspects of the club, including golf operations, membership, agronomy, and food and beverage services. As part of her responsibilities, Kellie will also oversee operations at Coastal Kitchen, a popular dining venue at Bear Trap Dunes adding to the hospitality experience available to members and the public. Bear Trap Dunes located just three miles west of Bethany Beach, Delaware, boasts a scenic 27-hole golf course designed by Rick Jacobson, set amidst coastal terrain and abundant sand dunes. The course has been recognized among the “Top Five Best Golf Courses You Can Play in Delaware” by GolfWeek and ranked as the “#4 Best Golf Course” in Delaware by Golf Magazine.

Nick Freeman, Vice President of the Commercial and Hospitality division at Carl M. Kellie grew up in nearby Frankford, Delaware and is a graduate of Goldey–Beacom College in Wilmington, DE, where she earned degrees in Human Resources Management and Business Administration. She began her career in 2007 at Bear Trap Dunes, where she quickly demonstrated her dedication and leadership skills. In 2009, Kellie joined Bayside Resort Golf Club as Membership Coordinator and advanced through various leadership positions, ultimately serving as Assistant General Manager in 2021. Bayside Resort Golf Club, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf club, is also a Troon managed and Carl M. Freeman Companies owned club.
